I love to travel. I promised myself this year I would finally make it up to Door County. We had a great trip. We stayed at Carraig Dale a cottage on a 10 acre farm that had a beautiful rustic barn and lots of space for the dogs to play. We traveled all over the peninsula all the way up to Washington Island. We did a lot of people watching in the small quaint town centers, we ate A LOT, we watched lovely sunsets and were able to capture some of them, and we spent time together as a family which was most important. We were also lucky enough to visit during cherry season. Door County is famous for the tart cherries that are used for baking pies. Needless to say we came home with cherries, hard cider, lots of handmade artisanal soaps, and kringle. The water was beautiful and we were able to get our feet in the water, next time I will bring my suit so I can swim with my pups. Whitefish Dunes State Park has a very beautiful dog beach that is sandy, clean, and about a mile hike from the parking area. We celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary on our trip and treated ourselves to a lobster boil and champagne. I can't wait to go back to Door County in the fall and winter to photograph the seasonal changes.
Sunset Beach with my beaux and my pets to watch a sunset on our last night.
